Details of billing adjustment
The billing methods for Alibaba Cloud DNS-Authoritative DNS of Personal Edition, Enterprise Standard Edition, and Enterprise Ultimate Edition are adjusted. The billing methods for Alibaba Cloud DNS (Authoritative DNS) of the custom edition are not adjusted. The following section describes the details of the billing adjustment.
Before adjustment
You can bind up to 100 domain names to an Alibaba Cloud DNS-Authoritative DNS instance. You are charged an edition fee for the first domain name that is bound to the instance. If you want to bind more domain names to the instance, the unit price of extra domain names varies based on the edition of the instance. A domain name is charged USD 4 per year if the domain name is bound to an instance of Personal Edition. A domain name is charged USD 7 per year if the domain name is bound to an instance of Enterprise Standard Edition or Enterprise Ultimate Edition. The following formula is used to calculate the fee of an Alibaba Cloud DNS instance:
Instance fee = Edition fee + Unit price of domain names × (Number of domain names - 1) + Unit price of DNS protection × Number of domain names
After adjustment
You are charged an edition fee for a domain name based on the Alibaba Cloud instance to which the domain name is bound. The following formula is used to calculate the fee of an Alibaba Cloud DNS instance:
Instance fee = Edition fee × Number of domain names + Unit price of DNS protection × Number of domain names
Starting from 18:00 on May 31, 2024 (UTC +8), you are charged based on the new billing methods when you purchase, upgrade, and renew an Alibaba Cloud DNS instance. The bills generated before the adjustment are not affected. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this adjustment.
